OMG!! I love fiefly! And I hardly know anyone else who’s watched it! That would be so sweet if the director (Who I actually did not know, being too young to watch Pan’s Labyrinth) did a movie for this awesome book.

Pat, just finished your book (best and most original thing I’ve read in a long while, by the way)and I have to say that there were moments when I thought, “I’d bet money that Patrick’s a Whedon fan.” Firefly has been a pretty rigid standard for all forms of story-telling for me since it first showed up, and I’m sure Joss would be enthralled with Kvothe’s tale.

It is hard to believe that there are people out there who don't like Whedon. I guess the world would be boring if we all liked the same things. To me, one of the biggest crimes in entertainment history is that Joss Whedon has trouble getting projects made and hacks like Soderbergh can barf up incoherent crap like Ocean's 13 anytime he wants.BTW, I just bought Name of the Wind on amazon and am eagerly awaiting it's arrival. The reviews make it sound awesome and you are a Whedon fan to boot!Ann

Sorry Zach, I didn't mean to imply everyone was actually a fan of Whedon. I meant to imply that everyone *should* be a fan. If they are civilized persons, posessed of wit, culture, and style, that is. I used to be anti-whedon too. But then I saw the light. Maybe I'll do a blog about that one of these days....
