I'm not sure why, since I rarely follow recommendations and NEVER buy hardcover, but.. I did, and I'm very, very glad I did. That's one hell of a book. I think it really is the best I've ever read.(Also, after having finished my third read through, I just noticed how often young Kvothe uses sentences consisting of seven words, especially when speaking to Denna. If that's not coincidental, you're far more clever than I gave you credit for.)

I just saw something kinda cool. Another fantasy author, Brandon Sanderson, has just recommended your book on his blog. He’s the guy who’s now in charge of the Wheel of Time series (since the original author died). I used to read ‘Real Life’ all the time. I had forgotten about it. I’m all caught up now though. Only had to read 3 or 4 years worth.Thanks for the reminder, Pat.

Actually I noticed far more the first time I read it. Including a time line error within the book. But for the life of me I couldn't find it when i re read notw.But that might just be because I take my time reading something for the first time, making sure I understand everything but I rush through a re read.Or I guess I could of fooled my self the first time.As of pats secrets, I haven't got a chance, I am still rooting for Auri and Kvothe to get together,lolok maybe not but I do love their conversationsPat is like the ring, He keeps secrets he doesn't tell them

Smasher. I absolutly have picked up on hidden things. The last time i read it i noticed a correlation that i hadnt seen before. When describing his name Kvothe says one of the meanings of his name from the Adem is “the Thunder” he associates this with his voice but when in the rookery alder whin asks Elodin not to bring the thuinder next time. Many more and more significant { I think} i have noticed but they could be spoilers to newcomers so….
