My family doesn’t read. It pisses me off. One of these days, I swear I’m going to slip a Bible cover over the Name of the Wind and condemn them for not reading it.

well said Angela. It's truly one of those books that will stand the test of time. I've never bugged my friends and family so much to read a book in my life. at the moment my girlfriend is reading it. She's truly loving it and it looks likely that i'll have to buy another copy!!</>The name of the wind is quite simply the best book i've ever read. thanks Pat.

Okay, my name is Angela, and I am a serious book addict. I JUST finished your book in record time. Risking the danger of bringing up the Harry Potter controversy again, I'll just say that I have read no other book besides the ones in the hp series as fast as yours. It does indeed have amazing "kickassery," and I'm still geeking out about it.</></>On an almost entirely separate note, it is extremely... BAH, I don't even know a word for it, but I love the fact that music is so deep a part of Kvothe. I wished nothing but the blackest death and the greenest seepage for Ambrose when he broke the lute. In fact, it made me hold my flute very close for a bit.</></>Randomly switching subjects again, my AP teachers have instilled a love of great literature that is hard to quench along with a childhood passion for fantasy. So, thank you from the freaking bottom of my heart for saving me for a bit from... *shudder* let's just call it less pleasant writing.</></>So, maybe "I [have] talked too much...said too little," but the universe you have created is truly awe-inspiring (465). Sorry about the proper quotation... old habits and all that... Anyway, thank you for the great book, and as some measure of recompense, I won't describe to you the hellish day it helped me through.

400 Mini-Pats... Wow. The gravity of that awesomeness would probably cause the earth to collapse into itself.</></>Pat: Stay away from Alabama AND Powerthirst. If not for your sake, then for ours.

Seriously, Kvothe rocks my socks. I'm not even an uber-fantasy fan or anything, but The Name Of The Wind is making me reconsider my position. </></>*fan sigh* </></>I'm torn between equal parts glowing admiration and intense jealousy. Pat, your characterization is so flawless it makes me ill.</></>Not really. I heart you. I think I'm officially a minion at this point.

I could only begin to imagine the epicness we would have with Pat Power-writing and runing around like Kenyans. Not to mention 400 Mini-Pats.
