Admittedly, it does get more rewarding once they learn how to smile (holy cow, that's a skill that would give some payback at birth...!), but nonetheless, it's still the most fun you'll ever have for the rest of your life. Bar none. (And I'm counting naked, howl at the moon nights...) Just remember: everyone will tell you how difficult and awful the first months are with a baby…they’re just pushing a con job.
