I am eagerly awaiting the next book in GRRM's series as well as Pat's, but as Neil Gaiman puts it, "GRRM is not your bitch."
I'm quite happy to burn through my bank account reading books such as Pat and GRRM write, regardless of the amount of time it takes for them to arrive. I'd rather one Song of Ice and Fire novel or Kingkiller Chronicle book than six thousand Twilights rip-offs, so hold your horses.

Wow, TheVendor has a point. I know I've personally been waiting for Martin to finish The Wheel of Time :P should be any day now right.

And if donating money to Heifer is dipping into customers pockets, I think its time for an all out war with the Salvation Army. I mean, just think of all that money people give them out of kindness. So much evil. :P

You freaking writers have all lost your minds. After spending years waiting on Wheel of Time, I found myself waiting on that fat no good bastard GRRM. Of course The Vending Machine has given up on finishing the book he started and is now spending all his time trying to strike gold on his crap stories no one would buy 10 years ago and slapping his name on other people’s books to make money off of them as well. Now here you go after writing 1/3 of a book digging into your CUSTOMERS pockets and completely disregarding what it was that put you in a position to DIG INTO YOUR CUSTOMERS POCKETS. When I paid for the first 1/3 of your book I feel as though I reserved the right to be able to buy the last 2/3’s of it. I wouldnt sell you a house remodeling, do 1/3 of it, then move on to the next house leaving you hanging. And thats exactly what you are doing to us. YOU SUCK. Screw your books I wouldnt buy one now if it were the only books in the freaking library. Keep on dipping into your customers pockets you fat bastard.

Shazam!!(Been wanting to say that since seeing "Gomer Pyle"), what a list of books.

Anyway I wanted to say congrats on the project as whole, truly a wondrous accomplishment for anyone, let alone someone as busy as yourself.

However, I also have a slightly self serving purpose for this post. Any chance you could give us a small update on the new book?

I've read your previous blog posts on how you get stressed out on this type of question being asked all the time, but seeing how you haven't blown your top in awhile :), I figured I'd play the part of the proverbial devil's advocate and ask the dreaded question for the community.

If you choose to answer, you do, if you don't, you don't. I'm just an eager fanboy eagerly waiting your next work (you know how it is). Thanks in advance.

I'm a seventeen year old portuguese girl and I just bought (and read) your book. Unfortunately - I whish I had knew about it sooner. Anyhow... First fact: It is magnificient. It really is. Second fact: I hate translations.
I wish I could have read your book entirely as you wrote it, in your language. It would be something awesome. So I have something to ask... If it wasn't asking too much (and I know it is) would you, please, send a copy for me? Signed? It would be really meaningful. It is writters like you that inspire me as I'm developing my very own novel.
I hope you suceed and I'm anxious to read your next novel. And everything that you write, that's the truth. Have fun, love much, live better. And always.
