So today I was going to pass along some news about the book in a blog titled, “Why I don’t talk about Book Two.”
Here’s the news: I’ve finally finished my latest draft of The Wise Man’s Fear.
Oot is shown in order to give a sense of scale. And because my baby is frikkin adorable.
So before we all go leaping to a bunch of unfounded and erroneous conclusions, let’s talk about a few things.
Is this going too fast for anyone?
The book is a big step closer to being done.
The book is way better than it was before. That last draft of the book was okay. It had some great parts, some parts that were “meh” and some that were “huh?” Overall, it averaged out to about 70 percent awesome.
Then, depending on how much work we think it needs. We put it into the production schedule. That means we’ll have a publication date. Which I will tell you. On the blog. With words.
But first, I get to relax. I’ve been working on this fucker nonstop for months. And now, finally, I get to take a break while I wait for Betsy’s feedback.
You see folks, Oot is one happy baby, all laughs and smiles. But in order to get this revision finished, there have been times over the last several months when I’ve spent weeks at a stretch working 10-14 hours a day. That’s not counting e-mail, dealing with translators, and writing the occasional blog.
That means on some busy days, I only get to play with him for half an hour or so. If our sleep schedules don’t match up, some days I don’t get to see him at all while he’s awake.
I’m not mentioning this to get sympathy. I’m mentioning it so you can better understand my life. I’m mentioning this so you know what exactly goes through my head when someone sends me an e-mail or posts on my blog, saying, “Just finish the book for fucksake!”
So…. that’s the news. The book is going well. There are parts of it that I’m so proud of that I almost can’t help but talk about them here. It’s coming. Be patient. And rest assured that I’m not just lounging around, doing whippets and eating the cotton-candy underthings off nubile young catgirls.
As for myself, now that the book is out of my hands for a couple weeks, I’m planning on catching up on some family stuff and playing Bioshock 2 until I puke.
Oh, and I’ll be catching up on a few blogs I’ve been meaning to post, too. Tune in on Monday and I’ll be announcing some of my upcoming appearances for convention season.
There will also be a chance for you to get me to come do a reading/signing at your local bookstore if you live in the right part of the country. Specifically in between Chicago and West Virginia…

Soo… Does KY count? Cuz ya know.. Joseph beth is a pretty awesome bookstore… And when Brandon Sanderson was here he really liked it… And umm.. It's between Chicago and WV… Somewhat. And you can bring Oot… And then my 9 month old will have another baby to help interrupt an author's speech. (Oh yes. She laughed and giggled and screamed happily through the ENTIRE Q&A and through Harriet speaking.. I blame her infectious happiness and innocent bystanders making her laugh.) *crosses fingers you will be in Lexy!*
My daughter and I cant wait for the second book either, thankfully this will give me time to finish my midwifery training then Ill have time to relax and read without feeling guilty that Im not studying. Also I think your OOT is absolutly gorgeos too and so good not to eat the manuscript while you photograph him!
well the end of this blog is depressing to a person that lives where I do, Washington Stat (not DC), but oh well. I'm happy to hear that the book is coming along and you get to take a break and play with Oot. I am also happy to here that there will be an abundance of lesbian unicorns. Any who I'm back to slave away on some douchbags car.
Very willing to wait.
@ Charles – ah, yes, nothing is better than a paperweight made out of actual paper…heh
oot is adorable, as always…i kinda want to buy him more than the book now…
speaking of which…after NOTW came out, my dad ordered WMF on amazon for me…do you know if that's still valid when the book does come out? the check or credit card or whatever does not show up as cashed…my parents were wondering…
also…i really appreciate your blogs. i'm a kindof writer (i don't get to be a real writer until i actually finish a book) and your blogs about the steps that the book goes through are a big help. why don't schools teach us this stuff in english classes?
anyway…lay on, macduff
have fun with your week(s) off
wv is holdryl…
reminds me of benadryl…only not
"The first rule of Book Two is, you do not talk about Book Two."
Excellent news, Pat! And Oot is absolutely adorable! And speaking of places between Chicago and WV, to the east of Cleveland is Eastlake and east of that is Mentor where there is a Barnes and Noble that is rather large and an Ideal place for a reading. Think it over. May fortune smile upon you.
~Vinny~
I'm glad to know Oot is so important to you. It's going to be a great book, for sure.
No time to read the comments today unfortunately.
I know the process for making a hardcover book, so I get how far this is from being a book in my hand. Still, a stack of paper almost a tall as Oot Sitting Down–that's a major hurdle. Congrats are in order: Congratulations!
Also, in case no one has yet pointed it out yet, Oot is way cuter than The Wise Mans Fear.
I felt a twinge of envy toward your editor, Betsy.
Congratulations =)
I'm personally crossing my fingers that one of the unwinding blogs you're going to post in your zen time will be the choices of the people who won your Book Two Name Contest. I've been looking forward to finding out for a long time, with a completely out of proportion level of interest *grins*.
Good news to hear. As a relative new father also, make sure you make time for Oot. I was working stupid hours when my son was born, and i still hate that I missed some moments. Remember, you have to put in the time or he will go all "boy named Sue" on ya.
Sweet, the book is coming out next week!
… I couldn't resist.
Glad to see such progress. It really helps calm all the impatience I feel. I'm just glad I'm not your editor. That looks like a massive job. Whenever I read a book with even small grammatical or spelling errors I get headaches.
Awesome post. Cute kid. Looking forward to book 2. Just reread book 1 a few weeks ago. Still an awesome read, even for the umpteenth time. Enjoy your mini-break while the latest draft is being proofread/edited/etc.
Awesome news. Looking forward to book 2 being done. Enjoy your break with your family. I understand having a 4 yr old girl and being an art educator.
Awesome news, cant wait for book 2, but this post helps to ease my suffering. I am reading The name of the wind for a second time, and I love it more than the first time. And the first time it became my favorite book of all time. Enjoy your break, I understand family time having a 4 yr old girl and being an art educator.
I've got faith in you, I know it's going to be a great book and I can wait a little longer.
Why do you print your manuscript out? Wouldn't it be easier to send it electronicly? Is it printed with magic unicorn ink?
Oot is seriously cute! And that is an impressive stack of papers right there.
Sarah
Pat,
How many ppm does your printer do? I imagine it was a bitch printing out that draft unless you have a big enough and fast enough printer. I can imagine using a standard inkjet printer and refilling paper and ink every hundred pages.
Also would it be worth my time to organize something in Austin, TX?
Oot has the most priceless expression on his face on that first photo. Haha I love it! Best of luck, Pat. :-)
So pretty….
Oot is cute too.
Lafayette is a good place for a book signing. I know, you've been to Indiana, and Indy is nice and all, but um, we have, uh…well, it's where I live and I work at a bookstore and if you came here it would be awesome and we might even make enough money so that the community relations manager doesn't lose her job next year. (Sometimes people in the corporate office don't understand why school districts aren't buying materials because they're too busy deciding which teachers to get rid of and which programs to cut and closing libraries because of budget cuts, so they blame the people in the stores.) Also, then maybe Oot could have a playdate with Nerdbaby. Does Oot have his own Starfleet uniform onsie? Doesn't every child of geek parents need one?
Wow! How are they going to bind something that big?!?
Sorry, had to do it. Also, it always needs more lesbian unicorns.
And to add something at least of value you should also play Mass Effect 2. I, at least, find it better than Bioshock.
I haven't read the comments, so mine may be erroneous but
1) Damn, your baby is cute. I wants one :(
2) Damn, that manuscript is heeeauge. The first book was pretty hefty, bu tsince the second is going to be longer by a whole Romance novel I feel justified in that comment even when put into the "it's in manuscript format" context
3) I hope I will always be one of the less irritating fans who is willing to sit here in not-quite-silent-but-not-exactly-demanding adoration, but despite that I am delighted to hear my next hit is that much nearer
4) My WV is ressepi
5) When you feel bitter about the book keeping you from your son, then you are working overtime. And I don't think we're worth it
6) Despite that, if you should happen to swing by Europe after book 2 is published I will track you down and stand around outside whichever bookshop wins you patronage to get my next book signed.
7) In the meantime, I've got plenty of other reading materials to see me through :)
8) 9) 10) I just kept going with the numbering because I wanted ot hit double digits, but I've run out of things to say
-A-
Oot is cute.
Can I borrow Oot when I need to remember that my monkey (i.e. almost-7-year-old going on 40) was once the cutest thing since … well, every?
I cannot wait to read The Wise Man's Fear. And I'm glad you didn't settle for 70% awesome. I'm good with anything above 93%. =P
Enjoy your kid, Patrick! Next thing you know, they'll be telling you how to invest your retirement funds. o_O
I'm downloading the Audible version of Name of the Wind…just because I have a renewed excitement about the series…YAY!
Geez Pat, you must have crazy carpal tunnel. Give your wrists/fingers a break for a couple weeks!
I say take as much time as you need to get the book done right. I rather wait and have a good book to read then get it now and have it stink. Keep up the good work.
A bookseller from Albany/Troy NY chiming in to say well done! You have many anxious fans awaiting your next tome, and I am glad it is on its way to editing.
Enjoy your break, and should you decide you need to visit a store between NYC and Boston, we'd be happy to see you in Albany…..
Thank you for the update, Pat.
I'm glad you will get to spend more time with Oot, he looks like a real little treasure.
:-)
If you find yourself near the University of Chicago, please consider stopping by. Bringing Oot is optional, but certainly preferred.
Enjoy your break!
-The girl who bumped into you at Family Video and made you feel so guilty (though not intentionally) for renting movies that you put them back and went home to work on book 2, AKA the girl whose husband's copy of The Little Prince rolled around in the back of your car longer than Oot has been out of the womb
Wow thanks for the great update. I never had a doubt that you were working on the book, but I can't imagine not seeing your son all day. I have a fairly new son too (well, he's 2.7, so not that new) but don't have a new manuscript I spent months on. Thanks again for the update. I just bought 14 new & used books to read so don't come out with WMF until I'm finished. It should only take maybe 2 months, but that's stretching it.
First: AWESOME NEWS! Can't wait!
Second: Have you tried Mass Effect 2? AMAZING game!
As always im excited to hear of any news with the 2nd book- glad its going well :)n that ur finally gettin a break from it Pat! and OMG girly broodyness-those are the darn cutest baby pictures ever!!!cheer for Oot :) x
Yay for Drafts! may the muses eventually grant you the godly ability to write it perfect the first time. If anyone deserves it, you are high on that list.
'Course, I think the pile of awesome that can write a bestseller on a cell in a subway is too…
Furry or furry hater, I think the world at large would be hard pressed to fault you for eating cotton candy underthings off nubile young catgirls… (a clever compliment for the mother of the small diety of cuteness guarding what will be my "this year was great" item whenever it may be released?) and that was much too much parentheses. To whomever told Pat to hurry up, go die in a fire.
Myself and the large number of people I have infected with your book thank you for your hard work and dedication. Have fun on 'vacation'.
For the sake of procrastination and sanity keeping, if you haven't read XKCD yet I highly recommend you burn (or take more) vacation time to do so. Glory almost as great as TNotW, just from the science side of the shelf.
Your such a refreshing shit…..
Glad your done with the meat of it. BTW, I know you've been told this a thousand times… but just wait til he's three/five/seven/ten. Time for a book??? GOOOOD LUCK!!!!!!!
And for Gods sake enjoy Oot now, once he figures out your distracted by writting, your life will become MUCH more UNmanagable (read hell).
Year by year, more and more…
(does this mean longer times between books??? FUCK!)
As always make sure your family comes first. We fans will suck you dry otherwise. I'm reminded of the saying ..all good things come to those that wait. Gotta admit I've never been good at waiting…..but since he's such a cute little shit….you will always be forgiven. (as long as he's stays so cute). Really glad you've cleared a major hurtle. We all wish you and family the best…
Tariet
Go spend some time with Oot, Pat. You deserve it!
did you say lesbian unicorns?
Things seem to be moving along well and I'm certainly glad to hear that the book is nearing perfection— Finally! lol, yeah, *shrugs* what can i say? i suck at being patient. At least with things I'm really looking forward to. ;)
Can I just say that its rather amusing to see that while you have a remarkable beard, Oot is as bald as an egg? I say this with all the sympathy of a former bald baby whose mother was a huge fan of stick-on bows.
As ready as I am to read book two, family always takes precedence. Enjoy your time off with your family/
Good to see the draft being complete and that you have time to spend with your family now. Enjoy it, Pat, because you deserve that time. I know how it feels not being able to see my little while he's awake, or for long periods of time for that matter. Military life comes with that price though, and it makes the time I do get with them that much better.
Anyway, back to your blog. Good to see things coming right along. Enjoy your time away from the book and doing Pat things while you can.
Great news! I can't wait to read it!
And Oot is absolutely adorable.
Thanks for keeping us updated :)
PD: The baby is so cute, enjoy your time with him ^^
wow some of these guys are just so…preachy! I dunno if they think they're worldly wise or what. 'A' class students from the University of Life. Also, whats the baby's name, I thought oot was funny at first but for me its losing its originality. Or I guess you could leave him that way, up to you. Anyway, imma go sleep, later.
Pat does his printing at his home office and uses a laser printer. Any author would be crazy to use an inkjet printer to print large manuscripts.
Let's run the numbers.
Let's guess that Pat's latest manuscript is 2000 pages. And let's say that he picked up a HP LaserJet P3015d. At 42 ppm it would take about 45 minutes to print out one copy of the manuscript. The tray holds 500 sheets of paper so that's 4 refills during the printing process. A high density print cartridge is about $225 and can go for 12500 pages. And 2000 sheets of paper runs about $15.
Putting that all together, a copy of Pat's manuscript would cost him roughly $50 and take about an hour to print.
On the other hand, let's say he picked up a Canon PIXMA MX7600 inkjet printer. That bad boy can do an atypical 28 ppm. Paper tray holds 150 sheets. A black ink cartridge runs about $16 and lasts for slightly over 500 pages.
So the inkjet option runs about $80 per copy and takes about an hour and a quarter to print out (not including the 14 paper refills and 4 ink cartridge swaps).
Yeah, I am oversimplifying but you get the idea.
Just out of curiosity I went to Office Depot's site and it looks like they would charge $120 for the same job.
I can't wait, but I am being patient. I hope you will be at Odd Con again, or maybe Geek kon (both in Madison Wi,). And you should do another appearance at Borders West in Madison. And Oot is sooo cute!!!!!!!
Hi Pat,
Well, I'd be as impatient for WMF as anyone – I've read NotW, oh, 7 or 8 times now, pushed it onto friends, evangelised it at the bookstore when I still worked there, just to share the joy of discovery and the misery of waiting for more with as many as possible.
Having said THAT – would much prefer to wait as long as it takes for book II to be of the same standard as book I, not an inferior beast that was rushed slightly too quickly to birth.
Also, as a truly sad case of doting parent – that gorgeous child of yours will grow so quickly, change so much, that every second with him at this age is precious, and any day that you don't get to see him, or see ENOUGH of him, is something priceless lost that can never be regained. So bugger the book – whenever the choice comes down to it or him – choose the baby.
There's a perfectly good literary reason to do that too – even beyond the obvious personal benefits. You – the Pat Rothfuss we have all come to know and love, the Pat that wrote that bloody magical collection of words and scenes and characters that have captivated us so much, and the humour and insights and opinions that keep us reading the blogs – that Pat is the one who, amongst other things, looked forward to this baby arriving, loves the little guy heaps and is so obviously a great dad – and if you DON'T indulge those things, remain true to who you are – then you may end up NOT being the same Pat Rothfuss, the best Pat Rothfuss, you could be, and hence WMF and the successor may be different, and probably lesser, creations than they could have been.
Enjoy him. Enjoy your life. Cuddle the baby, play your games, spend time with your wife, and whatever else it takes to keep Pat happy. Be you, be the BEST you that you can be – because that's the guy that will give impatient old me, and all my friends and customers, and all those other fans / addicts / worshippers at the altar of Pat, what we are really waiting for.
cant wait to read it, whenever it comes out (i dont mind waiting at all!)
I wish you the best of luck and its very cool to see such a down to earth author who actually feels the need to connect with his readers on a frequent basis.
Thanks for the updates. Your baby is so adorable and I just love his name. Now if only Justin would give me back my copy of NOTW I'd be one very happy camper. Justifiable homicide? Hmmmm……
I hope you don't let these rude comments and posts get to you… o_o relax.I for one can wait for another two years for book two if it's neccessary. As long as it'll be as good as book one. I'll just read that for the 100th time. I like the English version best but the German and Italian version were pretty cool too! I wonder if the book is published in france yet?
Have fun with Bioshock 2!!! The game is the most atmospheric thing I played in YEARS.
Personally, I couldn't be much happier with your progress. I am looking forward to something incredible, not just the best of the regular stuff (though I love that too). As a bookseller, I can't wait to start promoting book two, but for now I'll just have to keep reminding people that we want your best, not Jar-Jar.
The important part of this blog is, of course, how many lesbian unicorns are enough? One lesbian unicorn is intriguing. Two lesbian unicorns is a relationship, conflict — a story. But three lesbian unicorns — now you have a wide variety of conflicts, connections and potential outcomes. Surely a gifted writer can make do with three?
Oh, I want to leave a comment about Oot's cuteness but I see I am going to repeating the same cooing that everyone before me has managed. *insert cooing here*
Great news on the book. I was reading a great point on Whatever the other day about owning your 1 star reviews… ended up looking up some of the 1 star reviews of my favourite authors, including yours. Man, those guys pull no punches, eh? Thing is, you just can't please everyone… either with delivery or content.
Oot on the other hand, will be pleased with every moment he has with you. So it's a no brainer – have a ball with your gorgeous boy!
I aplaud you playing Bioshock 2. I have played it twice being a good do-bee and a bad do-bee. That being said, on the day it came out the only two of us that braved the elements in my 50+ inches of snow corner of WVA, were both over 45 years of age. Is that because of the music? The fact there is a story line? Or just a coincidence of good taste. :) Joyce
gj pat!
nice! when we get a pub date i'll re-reade the name of the wind for the fifth time
Hey brother, take your time onthis thing, just don't sweat it! The MOST important thing is that you get to spend time with your child, these days when your babe is young are fleeting, if you have some time to savor it, GRAB IT!! However long it takes for the next book to reach it's full potential it will be worth the wait, but you can never get back the times while your child is young, smiling, gurgling and so dam precious. Take some time off, we'll wait, no worries bro…we love you , your fam and your writing, so take what you can while you can and enjoy!! Be safe brother and give yer youngun a big hug and raspberry fer me!
Congrats on getting this far without snapping and going on a hulk-like-rampage. I'm happy for you, to be able to spend more time wit Oot, that is going to be one thoroughly beard-loved sprog, heh.
Also, it's quite interesting to see another glimpse into your process =).
Lookin' forward to monday!
Actually, I was up and about in 2 weeks after my Kidney transplant last June…..back in work by September. Just saying is all!
Enjoy the break – the Oootster is a star!
I'll be looking for those lesbian unicorns in book two once it is out and I've got a copy, please don't let the editors take them back out… ;-)
Dear Pat,
You need to go out and buy a full set of cotton candy lingerie for the beautiful woman who bore you that gorgeous baby and get munching. Now. Feel free to invite along any lesbian unicorns you find wandering the banks of the Wisconsin River.
friendly advice from,
the wife of an academic (which is almost as bad as being the wife of an author)
Hey pat, adorable kid, no beard yet tho huh? Well, give it a couple months. It's been a couple years since I've seen you, good to know it's going ok. I know your busy but hope we get to see you in Point for Trivia.
Hey Pat,
Oot is freakin' adorable. This you know.
Also, I'm an editor myself; not of books (I work on a law journal), but enough of the process is similar that I fully understood the implications of this post. When I saw that stack of paper, I knew what it meant. I knew that you were taking a giant leap forward in the process.
I also know that if your editor had to work against a firm deadline, she would have an aneurysm the second that motherf***er arrived in the mail.
Take your time, enjoy your family, don't kill your editor. We're people too.
Also, congratulations on winning at life!
Your baby is, in fact, adorable, not that you needed anyone's confirmation of that fact. To me the best part of this news is that you get to spend more time with him. Only slightly behind that is the squee-ing (squeeness? squeetability?) from the knowledge that book two is <—-> this much closer to being done.
Thanks for all your hard work and enjoy your time with Oot. You deserve it.
That's not a draft. That's a piece of furniture.
Revisions for my 4 page GCSE coursework was a nightmare – but they pale into insignificance in comparison to this. :)
Hey Pat,
Take your time, keep giving it your best, and enjoy that adorable little son of a gun. Everybody wins in the end!
Oot is jaw-achingly adorable! The sweetness in this picture could finance sending the children of America's dentists to the Ivy League institution of their choice.
I'm thrilled to see a tangible representation of all the work I knew you were putting into WMF. Glad to know you've crested this particular hill! Enjoy your Oot-shaped reward during the break. :D
if i had forward stretching x ray eyes i could read the book from those images
As you know I respect you utterly as my Personal Writing Deity. I will remind myself to breathe regularly while I wait for you to "Just finish the book for fucksake!" Patience is a very hard trait to master, but I will strive for my inner Rothfuss.
My only question is: "doing whippets"? WTF? Wouldn't an afghan be a better choice? Or at least a comfy cocker spaniel? But hey, if whippets are what it takes, I can put you in touch with some nice rescue organizations. You're on your own after that.
And please tell Oot that I coo in his general direction. He has quite the winning smile.
Why do you print it out? (I'm trying to think of a reason, and the best I can come up with is 'emergency backup')
You know how much we appreciate being told anything at all? I'm so glad that we all get to hear a tiny bit about you real life. I respect you immensely for the honesty that you offer and the privacy that you demand. Thanks for keepin' it real.
Tangent
Awesome news! I am excited to hear it. I liked the title of the blog by the way; very cheesy. :)
Also, the comment about lesbian unicorns intrigues me very much….
Yay! That means the book will be out next month!!1!
Oh my gosh, Oot is so fricken cute! I can imagine he will have a tremendous laugh!
Hurry up. Please.
omg i'm dying right now, oot is sooo coot!! can i babysit? i promise not to steal him! *cross fingers*
Does that mean you had to type the whole thing out in courier new font? Coz if you did THAT SUCKS! i cant stand writing in courier new, they say its spose to be easier to read but its harder for me :S
I have not given up hope yet that I'll see you in Germany for a signing one day. It's gonna happen!
Glad to hear that the latest draft is finally done–that must have been a pain in the ass, doing all the rewriting and fixing plotholes. My sympathies.
I think you should print a second copy for home defense.
I think you should print a second copy for home defense.
*FWUMP* "And stay out!"
*FWUMP* “And stay out!”
great!!!
these are very good news
ur baby is cute!!
greeting from Mexico
ok first – the cotton-candy underthings off nubile young catgirls??? pure gold my friend.
second – I haven't played it yet, but my friends have all told me that Bioshock2 is pure, unadulterated awesomeness, and you should definitely be playing it.
third – Oot is adorable.
Glad to hear about the progress on the book. Definitely getting more and more excited! Thanks for the update. Sounds like youre really busting your beard to make the greatest book of all time (as if you hadn't done that already with NOTW), so thanks very much for your persistence and all around anal-ness about how amazing your book should be. ;) Cause that means we get to read a masterpiece, and that makes me happy. So enjoy your relaxation time, Pat. You sir, have earned it.
Well done (both the baby and the manuscript)! We'll wait and don't despair. Have your holidays and be happy!
I'm following FOUR unfinished fantasy sagas and I think yours will be the second one to throw me some more material to chew… So you are my second favourite best selling fantasy writer at the moment…
Nice, congratulations. My only comparable experience was finally finishing a thesis, and I can only imagine the relaxation this moment can bring.
And in case even after your post people start pestering you, Charles Stross just posted a nice explanation on all the steps the manuscript will have to go through before we'll ever see it on his blog. You can always send them there.
Enjoy the free moments, and all the time you can spend with your family.
Great news. As far as reading the GRR Martin stuff in the meantime, I took the advice, especially since I loved The Last Unicorn. But having made it a chunk of the way into Game of Thrones, I have to say that
1. I could see that Martin fans would love Rothfuss, but
2. I don't think the converse would be true nearly as much.
I think to get into the Martin book you have to love fantasy as a genre to start with. (Not true NOTW.) But sheesh – where is the humor and humanism in Game of Thrones? I appreciate the complex storyline, and complex motivations that fill out the characters, and worldbuilding blah blah blah, but at the same time, it feels kind of pompous and contrived to me, and completely lacking in humor. With Terry Pratchett and also with NOTW, you get the feeling that the author actually LIKES people, for all their warts. Maybe I just don't read enough fantasy. I'll finish up Thrones but after that I think I'll go see if I can find all of the greatest old Pratchetts that I can't find any more because I forced them onto my friends. Neil Gaiman, Gerald Durrell. See if there are any more Iain Banks that aren't too violent to stomach ('Matter' was so great.). And wait for WMF, yay, hooray for the milestone! Thanks so much for keeping us posted.
- mom of 3 little ones
Thanks for the update =] I have to say, I would much rather wait as long as I have to for a book, than have an author slam it out for the sake of it being done and ending up with a sub par reading experience. Appreciate you sticking to your guns and muddling through it even at the cost of Oot-time =]
Woo! Ohio is right in between West Virginia and Chicago so I hope to see you here soon ^.^
A deficit of lesbian unicorns? This cannot stand!
I have a new desktop background now–Oot grinning, sitting beside THE BOOK(-in-process).
Great news! Love big books, and yours is worth waiting for! Cheers
Great news! Love big books, and yours is worth waiting for! Cheers
tarda lo que necesites..tengo toda la vida para leerte…
Oot is my favorite game of all time but I wouldn't name my kid after it ;)..I joke, I joke. I saw the picture where you had everything boxed up and I didn't know your son's name and I saw you said Oot is not a prize. I clicked on the picture and was looking for an Ocarina of Time cartridge somewhere, I'm a jackass.
Bioshock 2, really? I assume in during your 10-14 hour days you were playing Mass Effect 2. Otherwise that's what you would be playing until you puke. Just sayin'.
Yes the book is ones step closer to be in my hands (laugh manicly). Only problem with books like yours is that thay are more adictive than cocain… had to read the first one 3 times to stay out of rehab.
