hi pat,
love your books, if their is any thing I can help with let me know. Loved Name of the Wind and I think I'll love Wise Man's Fear two. I heard about beta and gamma reading. would love to, but if not that's cool to. probable makes the book better with all the suspense.
from your fan,
    Josh
P.S. I am NOT saying that your are holding off the book for suspense. I get that it takes a while to hit 100% awesome. I put that because it probable will seem better with the wait, and to give the dick heads who give you grief something to think about.

Dear Pat,
I am <i>so<i> glad you linked back to this post after telling us you've committed to a final draft date! It's good to see Oot's smiles again. I so appreciate the way you've written Kvothe more now too. All that commitment with the doubts and loose ends still in the mix - way brave.
Special congratulations on your decision and for sharing as you said you would. Please don't neglect your family between now and September, unless you really feel you must, but do be careful while you're in "the Detroit area," okay? Cheers,
Kelly

I fell in love with the name of the wind. In my opinion Bast is the best character in this book. He is very interesting and mysterious person. I look forward book 2. Unfortunately I also have to wait for polish translation ;(

I recently saw several copies of "The Wise Man's Fear" selling on Amazon.com for $20 with a release date of 2009 on them... I laughed until I almost peed a little then laughed some more. I can hardly wait for Day Two... I lovingly refer to my battered, free library copy of "The Name of The Wind" as my crack book, as I started reading it two days ago and i now dread coming to the end of Day One... I have come too far, however I fear to admit it, to ween myself off... I fear I must quit cold turkey, at the end, of course, or continue to re-read Day One until I die from lack of sleep and OD on the greatest book of all time.*

*So far, as Day Two is still unknown to me...
