Just so you know, I’m going to be doing a couple signings in the next month. So if you happen to live near Toronto or San Francisco, you might want to catch me while I’m there, because who knows how long it will be before I’m back…

As always, I’m announcing these kinda late in the game. So if you know of anyone in the area that might like to know about these, I’d be obliged if you’d clue them in.
Also, if the gods smile on us and the printing goes smoothly, I might have copies of the 2013 calendar available up in Toronto. Fingers crossed.
And, speaking of the calendar, George R.R. Martin just revealed his pin-up on his blog. You can head over there and check it out if you’d like a sneak peek.

Pat, will you ever come to Manhattan, NY for a signing?
Been there.
Mr. Rothfuss, As a fan and long time reader of your blog, this post is the only one that has prompted me to sign up at WordPress so that I could tell you that, after a long and tiring day at work I am literally bouncing on my bed with excitement right now. I will be there in Toronto, you can bet your beard on it!
See you soon….
Can’t wait for San Francisco! Oh, and the Facebook link is wrong :)
Thanks for pointing that out. It’s now fixed.
I’m a Torontonian, and I’ve been waiting for this day to come since I first read The Name of the Wind. Will be there with BELLS ON. Actual Bells, If I can get them! ^_^
Hey Pat!
Don’t wanna sound like a nitpicker, but didn’t you comment on one of your blogposts that the 2013 calendar would have some male pinups?
Cheers
I was really hoping for that too! Maybe next year?
Love,
Hey, San Francisco, that’s my neck of the woods.
Monday night, middle of NaNoWriMo… yeah, I’ll definitely be procrastinating then. Should be fun, see you there.
If you get a chance, come back down to Austin. We love you here.
I really really think you should come no Europe again! Especially Norway. Oslo, Norway. Yeah, thats sounds like a really good idea to me!
come TO Europe again..
I hear those areas are a whole lot of fun. I won’t ask you to come anywhere, or take up yo’ time (it’s hip to leave out parts of words, apparently), just wanted to wish you good times on the trip!
I’m so excited that you’re coming to Toronto! I can’t afford to travel, so it’s quite rare that I get a chance to meet people I’m a fan of. Looking forward to seeing you and Brandon next weekend.
Also, I have a pair of friends who would probably like those calendars. Early Christmas shopping? ;)
I know the west coast isn’t your neck of the woods, so thank you so much for stopping in San Fran!! SO EXCITED. :D
San Fran? Holy Shit. I’m pretty excited, I think I might be able to get down there!
Day before Pay Day too…Yah Baby.
Today is the best monday ever. (Yah I’m reading this a little late)
So, Pat, NaNoWriMo is coming up. Are you in?
:( Stop going to EASTERN Canada and come to WESTERN Canada. Us university students cannot pay for a ticket to TO and back even to view the raw awesome that is you. Come to Vancouver or Abbotsford. (Abbotsford being better, they are both in BC.)
I am not sure if my other post actually posted. Round Two…
Come to the West coast of Canada. We are ALL eager to witness the AWESOME that is you. Us university students cannot pay for plane tickets to TO, and the border people are scary.
Specifically Abbotsford in BC, MAYBE Vancouver.
My son and I are really looking forward to meeting you at WFC in Toronto. Hopefully your autograph line at the mass signing won’t be too long.
Recently joined the website and caught up on your blog. I had no idea how active you, and especially the community, is here. I wish I could make it to your signings.
I appreciate your books and your writing. Thanks.
Mr. Rothfuss. I shall be at this Toronto. Maybe this won’t reach you in time, but would you consider writing something mildly strange when you sign my book? Literally, just to write the words “something mildly strange.” Yes, I am serious.
Thanks! And see you there.
Also enjoy Toronto. I know five good restaurants
and I quite enjoy the whole place.
I hope you don’t mind drawing a unicorn on my copy of the book, because that’s what I’m going to ask.
NOOOOOOOOOO!!!!!! I can’t believe I missed you in TO yesterday. I literally go to that bookstore every day for my lunch break and of course I didn’t yesterday and the I walk in today and I see signed copies of “TWMF”… Major bummer, oh well maybe next time.
Ok, serious help time. I have been trying and trying to come up with ways to ask my long time girlfriend to get married. And thus Patrick your visit to SF gives me a plan. I intend on purchasing the books for you to sign, for the first one it is an obvious inscription, but that’s not important. She has read the first book, but has yet to start the Wise Man’s Fear. Now here is where help would be appreciated. I was thinking you (Patrick) could sign “He said the seven words long ago, and wishes to give his name to you, even if it means that you will have mastery over him. He is a wise man who fears a life without you. Say Yes.” That’s the general idea. But also she may want to see the book! So we need another false signature elsewhere! I will frame or case the books, so she can’t see the real inscription. Thoughts? Any advice is appreciated. See you in SF!
