Congrats! Your awesomeness (and your book’s) should be recognized by all and sundry. I am totally getting the paperback just so I have something portable to make friends read.>>Also: Nice doodles 8D
Heh. Okay I’m settled down a bit now. That wasn’t my most coherent post ever…>>That’s supposed to be regular laughter, by the way. Not maniacal laughter. Maniacal laughter goes like this, “Muahhahahahah!” It’s the “Muah” that makes it maniacal.
hahahah, congrats! that rocks – and i fully recognize maniacal laughter. i like to use “gyahahahaha” sometimes, but that’s because i played too much Final Fantasy =p
I Fail to understand why I searched the image franticly looking for the Name of the Wind and felt giddily satisfied when I found it next to the number 24.>>Maybe old Where is Waldo Memories or maybe just the classic thought ‘Hay, I read that book so that means I am awesome too’ Any ways…>>anything with more than three ha’s is crazy.>>I don’t know how you people do it.>>Ps if you add over 8 you should probably throw a *cough* or two in there.
Pat, I’m glad you cleared that up about the laughter. Actually, when I read it in the post, all I could hear in my head was Chris Matthews laughing over and over like a skipping record. The horror!
Sweet Pat. I’ve recommended NOTW to so many people, and I’ve actually persuaded one to buy the book (paperback) and read it. He’s been unable to put it down…
Honestly, If I were semi-famous, which I am not, a writer, which I am not, or intelligent, which I am not, I would really hate people sucking up to me so bad on this blog.>>That said, congrats Pat, you are so super cool. Gee golly, its ice cream sundae time for me and my cat!!!
I don’t think anyone is sucking up to anyone semi-famous, but what do I know. If I were the author of anything and my creation landed anywhere among the top 100 in the New York Times best seller list of any kind of book (text books, coloring books…) I would not sleep or walk on the ground for weeks. Congratulations.
That’s really awesome man!!>>So, I’ve been reading Terry Goodkind’s Wizard’s First Rule, and there is a character named Denna in it who is a crazy torturer lady. So now every time I read NotW, I’ll think of that. Great…..
Huzzah, Mr. Rothfuss. Huzzah. Go out and have yourself a big mug of mead to celebrate. (Or maybe coffee. It’s trivia weekend, isn’t it?)>>The 24th spot is darn respectable.>RK
my angry mom (she’s a librarian) says your second book was delayed to allow for the paper back to come out. That way you’ll have more fans by the time the second book comes out and more money will be made. I told her that was not the case, but she’s stubborn.>>This was after she asked me never to recommend her another book that has sequels still in production. She loved your book, but she hates the waiting.>>In her defense I only told her it was a trilogy after she was half way through TNOTW. But by then it was too late, she had to finish it. And now she has to wait.
Brilliant news! Have posted it on the blog :) You deserve it. And #24, too — that’s darn good! Looking forward to your next NYT bestselling novel ;)>>~Chris>< HREF="http://thebookswede.blogspot.com/" REL="nofollow">The Book Swede<>
Hmmmmm – I noticed the pic here doesn’t include the teaser of “working copy of Wise Man’s Fear window shrunk below” like your Facebook page. :o) :o) hee hee……. >>Seriously, CONGRATULATIONS. You and the book TOTALLY deserve it!!!!>>J

I think you have every right to laugh manically, Pat. I think it’s healthy.>>Congrats!!! You win cake, sir, you win cake.>>~Dyn~
