An interview with Sandeep Parikh

So while I was out at Comic-Con, I did a little interview with Sandeep Parikh, creative genius behind the Legend of Neil.

Honestly, I was more than a little nervous. I’ve been on the receiving end of a lot of interviews, but I’ve never given one on camera before.

Sandeep is an incredibly cool guy, and tolerated my newbie flailing with James Bondian aplomb.

More con stories later. Now, I sleep…

    Nice work Pat !

This is in no way a criticism, but it was kind of hard to hear everytihng being said, understandably though cos quiet, out of the way corners are difficult to find in a convention hall. Indeed, quite the waste of space…

Sandeep seems cool though and always great too hear from the creative forces behind those things we love to read/watch/discuss/daydream about !

I agree – the background noise is annoying . . . but click to the direct youtube site & you can view the HD version, that cleans it up enough to be tolerable.

Yeah. It was unavoidable. The convention hall was really loud, but there was nowhere else for us to go…

Ah well…an annoying blip on the ( otherwise masterful ) radar screen of your foray into the world television journalism. Long may the mighty beard be the focus of interviewees at large !

I just want to say that the beard is rocking as always! It always amazes me when I hear you speak because the beard makes me think of a lumberjack with a third grade education; and your voice is a velvet glove with a Dr.’s degree! It’s a visual and audio surprise everytime! I just love it!

Great to see you at Borders bookstore in San Diego, you seemed very down to earth and quite the charmer. I took my son who normally doesn’t do this kind of thing, he has read your book more than several times.
This was an effort to get him to branch out to other authors before he memorizes the contents of your first novel.
I am so glad we were there and so happy you were gracious and accessible to all of your fans. The crowd wasn’t as diverse as I had hoped but perhaps all of that will come in time.
Thanks for coming to San Diego and bringing your big personality with you.

Pat rockin’ a Newgrounds T-shirt? Also thanks a lot, because of you I HAD to go and watch every episode of The Legend of Neil. Well at least it was funny.

The best part of the Legend of Neil is forgetting about it, so that when you do remember you have at least 3 episodes to watch. I love that part.

I only wish The kingkiller chronicle was like that, when you wait a few span or a month to read a finished book, the anticipation adds savor. But after a year excitment begins to sour. By now, three years has passed and folk are almost mad with curiosity. Eh? No? Sorry :(.

Jesus – I am so envious of that childhood. I mean I grew up with the woods being a wonderland where every stick was a sword and every thicket a fort, but I mean come on, That sounds amazing. Great Great interview Pat. If you like you were “flailing”, if didn’t come off that way in the video. you seemed just …. happy .. in that way that only geeking out can seem to make you.
