So. Tomorrow we launch our yearly fundraiser. It’s our 10th anniversary. A big milestone.
Worldbuilders is my pride and joy. It has changed my life, and I’m as proud of it as I am of my own sweet children, and I love it as much as I love my children. It is a force for good in this weary world, and I’m so proud of the fact that over the years beautiful geeks of all nations have come together, raised nearly 8.5 million dollars, and made the world a better place.
We’re going a lot of new things to mark our 10-year anniversary. We’re pulling the trigger on a plan I’ve been slowly assembling for years. (It has to do with D&D) I’ve been mulling it over for ages, and I’ve finally figured out how to make it work…
On top of that, I think this is the year I’m going to pull an arrow out of my quiver that I’ve been keeping in reserve for a *long* time.
But the biggest news of all is that we’re changing the format of the fundraiser itself. Worldbuilders isn’t going to be a four weeks long (plus a little) this year. This year we’re doing the whole fundraiser in two weeks. Less than half the time we normally use to let it all play out.
It’s big stuff. And we’re making all these changes for good reasons. And they’re good choices. I have high hopes for this year. I think it’s going to be our best year ever.
So now, tonight, I should be writing a blog where I rile y’all up. I should do some cheerleading. Get you excited about what’s coming….
And that’s the blog I sat down to write tonight. But I’m not feeling it.
So instead, tonight, at 2:17 am, I’m going to tell you the truth. I’m not excited. I’m stressed.
No. That isn’t even the real truth.
The truth is, I’m scared.
It should come as no surprise to any of you who have read this blog over the years that I hate and fear change. There’s a reason I still live here in Stevens Point. There’s a reason I still wear the same coat I bought in college. There’s a reason I still use my beloved, 30-year-old Model M keyboard.
(This keyboard has seen some shit, y’all.)
We’re changing the fundraiser this year. And I know it’s for the best. But… I don’t like changing things that work. And the truth is, Worldbuilders has worked amazingly well for almost a decade now… We’ve raised over 8 million dollars to help people all over the world. We’ve helped tens of thousands of families. We have saved lives. We have given families hope and peace. There are children out there who are fat and happy because of us.
And still, tonight, the evening before the fundraiser, I’m scared.
I’m scared people won’t like the changes we’ve made. I’m scared people will be confused. I’m scared we won’t be able to get the word out to new people. I’m scared donors from previous years won’t come back….
I’m worried people won’t realize the fundraiser is *so* much shorter this year until it’s too late. I’m worried that they’ll show up on December 13th, when we’re normally still going strong, and realize they’ve missed out on everything.
I’m worried I haven’t done enough to prepare, and this year will be a failure, and it will be my fault.
Aaand that’s it. I don’t have a sudden reversal to end with. No big closer. No ray of light.
I was kinda hoping if I started this blog I could write my way out of this feeling, but it’s still here. I’m worried that it’s all going to be a trainwreck, and thousands of kids will go to bed hungry because I screwed up.
I just literally sat here for five minutes (It’s 3:05 now) wondering what I can possibly say to pull this blog up into something inspirational.
And I got nothing.
But what else can I do but put my head down and bull forward? My little boy has been filling up jars with change so that he can have enough money to buy a cow for Worldbuilders this year. So we’re going to do that. (I feel a little better thinking about that.)
(He’s so much older than this now, but I love this picture.)
Also, y’know what? Here’s a picture of him with a fake mustache because it’s my blog and I an post pictures like this if I want.
Also, here’s my littler baby dressed up as a bug.
(Cutie AF)
Oh. Wow. When I was scrolling through the files in my media library, guess what I just found.
This:
Hell. Every once in a while I can really put some words together, can’t I?
I guess I’ve got to take my own advice, don’t I? I’m not as good at this as I’d like to be. I’m not as organized or as clever or connected as I wish I were. I’m scared all of this is going to fall apart around me and that the fundraiser will fail.
But what can I do? I guess I’m going to Bilbo it up.
So when I wake up tomorrow (Monday) I’m going to e-mail people and call in favors and do interviews and pull strings and contrive every of trick I can think of to get eyes on the fundraiser this year. Because we’re giving away some *cool* stuff, and I want the geeks of the world to come donate money, make the world a better place, and win some cool shit while they’re at it.
I hope you’re ready, everyone.
I hope I’m ready too.
Either way, I’ll see you soon.

Change jar – counted and ready.
New end date – noted.
Hey Pat,
Ready and waiting with my geek super power! That is my wallet. I feel geeks change the world by buying stuff. Also words and pictures…and an obsessive nature.
Hey Pat.
Change is hard. You can do this. We will all help.
That quote was at the end of my daughters valedictorian speech. You, your words, your world have changed my entire family. We adore you and are ready for this year’s fundraiser. You got this man and we got you.
I need you to breathe for me.
We are all here to make the world a better place right alongside you – and just think, whatever we raise is more than they would get if you didn’t have the fundraiser. You can do this.
We are the geeks who do good. We are the nerds who never quit. We are the dorks that defy convention.
We do it because you inspire us. We do it because you gave us a common cause and a way to do real, lasting good.
For all that you may have been in a dark place when writing this, it reminds us that you are a human who cares about us and the world at large.
The time has come for Rothfuss’ Renegades to one again ride the tide and declare war on poverty and injustice as we declare with one voice, “It’s Bilbo Time! Bilbo UP!”
Whatever I might be able to help with…..I’m in!
❤️❤️❤️
I’m donating a little out of each paycheck next year.. it won’t be much but it’s more than I’ve been able to do, and it will be all year long, because Worldbuilders is something I believe in because of you!!
You’ve got this, buddy, and we’re all behind you. Geeks are pretty damn good at mobilizing. Ask us to get the word out and we’ll make sure people know about the fundraiser and the new timeline. Breathe and trust. I promise it’ll be awesome.
All I can say is Oot is still so cute! And Littler One ( I want to say Snoot?) is so adorable! But I feel like they should be so much older by now haha. Keep doing your brilliant work Pat! You’re a champ.
You are awesome!
I think it’s going to work out. :)
My credit card is ready!
When are you coming back to the Heifer Project in Perry County Arkansas? I live right up the road from the Heifer Project but missed you last time you were here.
Your troops of nerds are ready Captain, some already spreading the word. This isn’t something you do on your own, we’re here for you.
Change is hard and scary, and you never know if it’s worth it until after it happens. You might be surprised, we may not raise as much, we may raise more, but no matter what, money will be raised and people’s lives will be changed.
We are here for you, and ready to change the world.
Sending you love and support.
-Rose.
Pat,
Two years ago, when I was still in uni, I donated money to the fundraiser for the first time as a Christmas gift for my sisters. I had never donated money to a charity previously. Last year, when I got my first job, I donated my 13th salary to the fundraiser. And I will certainly pitch in this year again!
I guess what I’m trying to say is: Thank you for inspiring me to donate. Thank you and the team at Worldbuilders for being a force of good in this world.
I have been thinking about the fundraiser since Halloween. Looking forward to the cool new set-up for the 10th anniversary. Bilbo it up!
New end date noted. We don’t want to let you down either. Happy 10th anniversary!!! Everyone gets a goat.
Go for it. Bilbo it up!
I’ve set up a FB donation to Worldbuilders for my birthday this year (It’s on Saturday!). And I’ll be donating during the fundraiser! Thank you for this, Pat! I know it will be amazing!!
We are with you, Pat.
Don’t worry, we got your back
You got lots, Pat.
Lots of love, lots of people who want to help you do good in the world.
[This is the first post I was notified via that fancy RSS thing. It only took me more than a decade to figure it out!! I’ve given every year, and I’ve gotten some fun thing every year as well. Let’s keep this going!]
Heifer International seems a like a great organization. I donated directly to them last year but got turned off by emails several times a day and phone calls asking for more money. What I thought would be a positive experience was soured by the post-donation nagging. What is the Worldbuilder’s donation experience like?
It’s really relaxed. I don’t remember getting many emails, and the ones I did get contained important information regarding my donation (receipts and stuff). I donated the last couple of years (since I got my first real job after College), and have been really happy with the process.
Pedicured, and ready for some shoeless Bilbo-ing.
“There is more in you of good than you know, child of the kindly West. Some courage and some wisdom, blended in measure.”
It’s gonna be fine. More than fine. It’s gonna be awesome.
*BIG LOVE*

Me – Bilbo’d up
Two weeks sounds great. Easier to keep momentum and excitement, nice and tight.
You are awesome, you are more than enough
Last Year, I donated to Worldbuilders for the first time. My second pregnancy went terribly bad and because I was so sad, I wanted to make other people happy.
A year later, I’m sitting here with my son, who is 2 months old, and reading your announcement for the next fundraising. This year, I will participate for a much better reason. I want to share happiness.
By the way, I won a prize at the first try :-)
As I was scrolling through the comments I thought about watching Pat interact with his son and how he is such an amazing dad. My wife and I had a bad first go around with pregnancy last year as well. This year though I’m a dad of a 5 week old. I’m happy to help out with what I can. :)
My hope is one day you will truly realize, in your heart, how amazing you really are. You are a king among men and, god damn it, it is time you realized that! Happy Holidays Mr. Rothfuss. I am up for another Rothfuss hug….cause your heart is huge!!!
Dear mister Rothfuss, or can I call you Patrick?
Change can indeed be scary… We’ve all been there at some point. But try to think of all the people that you ARE helping, instead of those that you think you’re maybe not helping… Every person that got help from Worldbuilders, is a person you’ve helped… That’s hundreds of thousands of people that you’ve helped over the years Pat. You’re an amazing person in any case!
Best regards,
Simon (all the way from Belgium).
What do you think of bringing some happiness to the waiting people out there and finally
publish the last book. One single Euro from every sold book could be donated to help the poor
children in our world. Or are you scared of the changes when you publish the last one?
Are you scared of finishing it and that you can not create another world that comes near to
Kvothe’s one? Are you scared that people wont give you the attention anymore that you are
used to? Fact is, you was running away instead of finishing your work. And you did it that long,
that I already do not remember the full story anymore. If you ever get the courage to do the
final step?
Pat posts about feeling vulnerable.
You shit all over him about his book which *gasp* he is well aware that people are waiting for.
Dick move, dude. Dick move.
One: if you don’t remember the story, it’s called Re-reading.
Your state of happiness regarding the absence of book 3 is a YOU problem, not a him problem.
Pat is takig care of himself, and that’s what the rest if us want. We’re trying to be here to support him, and encourage him.
The likeliness of him taking MORE time to finish because people pester and bully him about book 3 is quite likely.
Bugger off.
As a side, wrapping up a genius story like this and tuck in all the loose ends is a VERY difficult task to complete in one book. I would much rather wait for a great story end than have him dish out something mediocre just to satisfy people like you.
I can’t help but feel sorry for people like this. They clearly feel bad and have no idea how to express themselves or ask for help.
Otherwise, there is no understanding how they might think that an email like this would elicit the response they are hoping for. Unless they are intentionally trolling and hoping for a response, which is even sadder, as this is the only way they know how to get attention.
This is an astoundingly low effort troll for containing so many words.
…but I guess it is alright for all of you to “Bully” o.p for giving his (and millions of other of us) opinion. You shouldn’t have to be afraid to say something that Alot of other people are thinking. I check back here more often than I would care to say, just to see if he will be announcing the release of book 3…to be only completely emotionally drained once again . ..and before you ask. Yes..I have donated several times over in fact.
Y’all, please. Not this, and not here. This is a good thing Pat does. Maybe let’s not try to make people feel guilty for trying to make the world a better place.
To the dook – You come off as entitled and though I can’t speak for Mr. Rothfuss, I’m sure if the long wait means you are no longer a fan, you will nary be missed. Good riddance.
To Mike M – I agree many have waited a long time, but your poor “bullied” dook deserves a reminder that the ears don’t own the lute. As for your “completely emotionally drained” self – ha! How dramatic! You perhaps should stop checking this site. Trust me – when the book comes out, you’ll hear about it.
Lastly, to Mr. Rothfuss – Thank you for this amazing charity effort. And please for the love of it all, read, travel, relax, play D&D, power down – inspiration should not be rushed, and confidence will come. You have the wisdom of many grandmothers…
Who has more courage? A) A well-known author with two small children that manages to raise $8.5 million in his spare time, while dealing with a mood disorder, a loss in his family, and God-knows-what-else; or B) a Dork— sorry, Dook— that takes pot shots from afar, while hiding behind a comfortable cloak of Internet anonymity?
And Mike, why do you presume to speak for millions of fans? I think the vast majority of fans have learned that once we put on big boys and girls’ pants, we have to learn to wait patiently. “Gimme, gimme” has an age limit. Moreover, Pat owes you nothing. Repeat: Pat owes you nothing.
Have either of you had any luck in motivating creative people (or anyone older than 10 in any walk of life) with whining, character indictments, insults, and guilt trips? Has it dawned on you (and the other millions that appointed you spokesperson) that your bile might impede rather than accelerate his progress?
Yeah. I’m not so much in agreement with Mike or dook but I don’t like the whole what is owed sentiment. I mean, yeah, he doesn’t “owe us anything” I suppose. Maybe it’s because we are to cowardly to ask. He isn’t. I’ve donated every year for 6 years because I like the books, researched the charity and thought it was a good cause. I did that because he asked. As far as “motivating creative types” that’s kinda a cop out, dudes a writer, that’s his job. There’s plenty of days I’m not motivated to do my job, but it’s an important job so I do it. I say I’ll do something and I try my level best to follow through. It’s hard to really appropriately express frustration on the internet and maybe these guys got caught up in that frustration. They are really just asking, just like he does, for something. If it’s ok for him, it should be ok for them too. He’s just better at asking in this forum, I mean, seriously, professional writer, great books, he’s good at this. Maybe these two just aren’t as good. That doesn’t mean they don’t have the right to ask.
Really!!!!!! I suppose I shouldn’t be surprised, did you actually read that post?
I’ve been donating to Worldbuilders since 2012. I donate art/jewelry I’ve made to Worldbuilders to help raise money, and I also usually kick in some cash donations as well. I look forward to it every single year (both the making things for it, and seeing what cool stuff has been donated and the chance at winning some of it). I suspect that most of the faithful followers for Worldbuilders have been checking the blog regularly to see when it’s going to start, because they love participating too.
I think it will still be a success, this year. You’ve got so many people who participate, and so many who will help spread the word about it. I know I’ll be posting about it on social media, to help as much as I can.
Regardless of how this year plays out, as long as there’s a Worldbuilders, I’ll donate to it. I’ll give money every year, and as long as you all are willing to take the things I make for it, I’ll donate those, too. You can track my evolution as an artist across the years of Worldbuilders, from the very first piece I ever sent in, to the latest one. I want to keep going right along with you because it means so much to me now.
I am bad about remembering to donate, so when Amazon started their smile.amazon thing I put worldbuilders down, since it was on the list.
I hope that doesn’t mess with your system too much, and I hope it actually works.
But I will also try to participate this year.
Good luck Pat! We’ll all be here sharing news about the fundraiser and helping wherever we can! You’re doing incredible work, and anyone that’s aware of what Worldbuikders has accomplished will be there for you and the charity, extra weeks or not :)
Stay Bilbo’d up!
I can promise you I will donate to Worldbuilders again no matter what changes are going to happen and I also promise that I’m going to bring at least a few new people with me. I hope that eases your worries at least a little bit. I’m looking forward to tomorrow!
Ready, willing and able to help. Thanks for making it easy for us.
I LOVE this sentiment! Thanks Sue! I never thought of it that way, but it’s so flippin important.
As we begin this adventure I will lend you my sword
•—–(—————->> it would have been a lute. But I failed at making it in ascci sooo be careful and don’t poke your own eye out!
I have the exact same feelings about tomorrow. The same comingled sense of dread and excitement, heavily favoring the dread. We have our first home study meeting for fostering. It’s not raising hundreds of thousands of dollars annually, but it’s how we want to help improve the world.
Good for you! We need more foster parents in the world.
Scraping by, but by God I’ll find some change to throw your way.
I’m ready to Bilbo up!
Pat, you are a great man, as far as I can tell, this world needs more people like you.
With great power comes great responsability, but I think you take far too much responsability for a kind of power one man cant have. You are doing your best, and allowing us to do our best. We got this. Ill end this with a quote I love :
“He who saves a Life, saves a world entire”
I don’t have any bells. But regardless I will be there. I will rouse my family and friends, my coworkers and acquaintances. I will post to social media. I will yell it off roofs…well maybe just speak loudly.
This fundraiser that you do is amazing. You are a writer. An artist. You touch so many lives through that medium. Then you go and do something like this. Make an impact in such a way that makes me inspired and awestruck.
My grandfather taught me that its important to help as you can, how you can. So I will do what I can.
As always Pat, keep being awesome – you’re doing pretty great so far.
I thought you hired people to help you, and neither you nor them thought to post a blog about the shorter fundraiser, you know, some time earlier than the day before it starts?
instead of worrying about it, just make a note for next year to do things differently, my advice.
regardless, I’m sure it will go great and might even be the record year, so don’t fret about it
sorry I hope I didn’t come across too harsh. I wanted to delete my comment afterwards ^^
He did mention it in an earlier blog a couple weeks ago (sorry, I´m too lazy to look up the link).
I’m using you for a school paper. You’re an inspiration.
I have no idea if this will make you feel better or worse:
My friends and I have zero idea when the fundraiser runs or how long it runs each year. We just look for your blog post kicking off the festivities.
You’d think /eventually/ we’d get the hint that it’s apparently on the same dates each year(?) or even that it’s a recurring thing, but no. A tweet, a blog, a youtube video, a reddit post – that’s how we know our favorite thing is kicking off again. Haven’t missed one yet.
I’d like to say something like: “Don’t worry. Everything will go splendidly as always.” But I don’t know that. Sometimes worry is appropriate. Sometimes being overconfident contributes to stuff like Trump getting elected. So I’ll worry with you instead and do my best to help make this another successful fundraiser for Worldbuilders.
You got this. We got this. Everyone has this. :-D I’m excited about the changes, even if I don’t know what most of them are or why! ;-)
Ka . . . ching! That’s the sound of me remembering to look up how much I donated last year and donating more this year. (That’s my annual plan, BTW, for this fundraiser.)
Dont worry Pat. We will get the word out. Luckily we are a comunity that is very tight-nit. We got this!
Is there a better option between this or giving directly to Heifer? I’d like to see each dollar go as far as possible.
According to the donation page, “100% of your donation goes right to Heifer,
whose programs help improve the lives of people all around the world.” So, the main difference between donating through WB rather than going straight to Heifer for these next two weeks is that you get entered into the lottery for a chance to win some goodies. Plus, if you’re hanging out around here, or join a donation team, or catch Pat’s Twitch streams it’s kind of community building. People have made new friends through this experience, and for some it just feels good to be part the fundraising efforts in that way.
Also, the first $100,000 through WB gets a 100% match. Do if you donate $20 through WB in the next two weeks, you’re effectively donating $40.
Well, Pat, this will either mildly amuse and divert you, or make you think “restraining order”, but as I read this blog I was quite literally also looking at a picture of your feet.
That probably needs some context: I went self-employed this year and recently put up an inspiration board in my study at home. It has a picture from the blog where you first posted your “Bilbo it up” words, to remind me that sometimes you just need to get on with what the world’s throwing at you.
So if your feet can inspire me, just imagine what more your heart can do, for me and others. It’s clear to everyone that you throw your heart into this and it’s THAT, rather than any questions of format and duration etc, which makes me (and, judging by the comments so far, pretty much everyone who reads this blog) confident that all will be awesome.
Hi Patrick,
I have to say that I was a bit surprised by the end date this year, but that explains it.
I made my small contribution today and wish you all the best!
Greetings from Belgium ;)
I am ready to take on the next fundraiser (even though my own funds might somewhat disagree)!
You put so much effort and – even more important – heart into this, that I am absolutely sure it will be a success. Let me rephrase that: A*nother* success.
I like to think that most people do or did not donate to Worldbuilders because of your name has some weight to it, but because Worldbuilders, you, them want to make this world a better place or at least change it even a little bit for the better. And this is why a different format won’t matter. The result will be the same: We do something, however small it might seem (just like Bilbo to use your analogy), to help others and have some positive impact.
We are still here, and we will adapt!
Already Monday in Europe, and we are ready!
Bring the changes, and keep your socks off…
No worries here!
Heifer helped by sending me an email, which I appreciate enormously. I never want to miss the fundraiser, but don’t have time to read your blog as often as I like and can never remember when it runs.
So… my message is ‘Keep Those Reminders Coming’!
I just caught a look at the updated Worldbuilders page, and whoever came up with The Daily Builder magazine at the bottom of the page is a genius. That idea alone should be worth an extra chocolate malt.
How much would I need to donate to get you to skype into a D&D session? I’m going to donate anyway, just throwing it out there.
Today Heifer is doing a triple match. Because of you I will be giving $500. I want to help the most struggling families. Is there a way for world builders to get in on that action? Or should i give directly through Heifer in the next 13 hours?
Don’t worry, Pat. We’re here. Your minion horde. We won’t let this fail. It’s important to us too.
I’m excited for this upcoming fundraising season!!! I’m sure it’s going to be great. Looking forward to getting my daughter involved for the first time (she’s just turned 4).
I appreciate the hell out of having someone to cling to as the changes happen. I ALSO appreciate the eff out of the kid pictures. Sharing kid joy is an excellent way to enable hope.
I’m in once again : )
This will be my first year donating. Won’t be my last.
“We will fight with you until the fires freeze over, and then we shall fight on the ice.”
I see that Fulcrum on your keyboard :)
Still wearing mine every day. Hope it gives you as much strength as it does for me.
–Keepin’ It Kilter in NC
Don’t suppose you/Amanda could make that picture at the end a link to the Worldbuilders page or at least throw-up a link to the fundraiser? For convenience.
Top right corner of the page.
Don’t be down on yourself for the Model M love! The Model M is an elegant weapon, for a more civilized age, and I’m downright jealous of the fact you still have one hanging around. I make due with Cherry MX switch boards, but I miss that old spring mechanism. You couldn’t break those things if you tried. And I learned to type on an old IBM typewriter, so even the aesthetics aren’t a turnoff for me. I do think Unicomp makes modern dupes of them with USB interfaces, but it’s just not the same. :)
And as fear of change goes, just know that we are all here to Bilbo it up with you. I know, especially with how shit the last years have felt in the world, how easy it is to assume that it’s all dragons out there. But in my experience, if you get a bunch of us nerds together, there’s not a dragon we can’t slay (or at least outwit). We’ve got this, Pat, and so do you. I have only met you once, at a Joseph-Beth book signing years ago, but know that I’m so proud of the work that you and Worldbuilders have done in the last decade to decrease world suck (to borrow a term from one of my other favorite nerd communities).
I have many problems handling things that surround change and the lack of change and my complete fear of both. I have never taken part in a fundraiser and i cant wait. That quote is a part of who i am as a person and has led me to become stronger. I will spread the word to as many as i can and i cant wait to feed some hungry babies. Thank you for being you and for changing my life in ways i never could have imagined.
Thank you for such honesty. Bilbo up and onward to another WB success.
Donated! Maybe make the invite photo at the bottom of the post clickable? I found the link at the top of the page again, but almost missed it, and was feeling very inspired by the end of your post!
Sir, we met the first milestone 1.5 days in. It’ll be ok. Try not to stress. We need you hale.
I appreciate you sharing your concerns. I made my tiny monetary donation already but your post encouraged me to donate more of my time and voice. I’ll make the rounds and encourage those I know to check out the fundraiser.
Nice, I’ve got enough money to donate this year.
Reading your blog for the first time, and this is the blog I read! The Universe is full of synchronicity my friend. I’ll be donating. You will NOT fail!
I got my Bees!!!! I love this time of the year so much! Thank you Pat and Team for being so awesome and putting this together every year. If you never wrote another book again I’d still follow this blog as much as I do now just for this event alone.
While I’ve been a fan of your writing for so long, what really has me coming back and checking this blog is how much of fan I’ve become of you as a person. Your honesty and drive to some good in this world is so damn refreshing.
I know I went all gushing fanboy on that, but I just wanted to convey that you are very much appreciated.
Thanks again for all you do!!
367.000 with a bit over 11 days to go. I`m feeling good.
I would pay good money for that keyboard. That is a fine keyboard.
Do not change it for the sake of changing it, change it only if you think you have found something much better, that will make your typing easier and more enjoyable. And do not feel guilty for owning a 30-year old keyboard, for that keyboard is a fine, fine keyboard. And if you have found a better solution to typing and are making the change, do not fret it. If you do not try a new keyboard, how will you know if it is actually better or not?
PS. (I am not really talking about the keyboard here, everyone knows that there have been no better keyboards produced in the world since the Type M, do not ever change that one. You can still buy an identical new one for over 100 quid, although I never heard of one breaking down, ever.)
Hi Pat,
It just so happens that my birthday usually falls at the end of Geeks Doing Good. I frequently encourage my family to buy me gifts through the fundraiser.
This year, I set up a tiny social media fundraiser of my own to donate money to Worldbuilders for my birthday.
I just wanted you to know that WB is still important to a lot of people, and we haven’t gone anywhere.
https://www.facebook.com/donate/311783246328285/?fundraiser_source=external_url
Thanks for all you do.
So I always loved hearing about the stretch goals that this fundraiser had in years past. Is that still a thing?
I tried looking on the website and didn’t see anything. Am I just not looking in the right place?
Keep the spirit strong. We are here.
I got a world you can build. Kingkiller Chronicles. Book 3. Go.
I second that. Been waiting years for the “trilogy” to be completed. Bought the first two books with my hard earned cash…surely a promised 3rd should be on the cards. There has to be closure on the series and characters.
If I’d known he may not even write it, I wouldn’t have paid for the others.
Oh well.
